👑 KEEP CALM and DRINK TAP WATER

Updated: Oct 6, 2021

Want to make an impact in a smart way? Drink tap water and do the best favour to you, your beloved and your planet without any effort, saving up to 500 euro a year.

Plastics are made from resources like natural gas and oil processed thanks to (a lot of) energy and water. Whenever possible we should simply avoid using them.

How?

It's simple!

You can start from the easiest thing, just drinking tap water.

It's healthy, safe and allows you to make an impact!

“Save money, save energy, do good to you & your planet? It's simple, drink tap water! ✌🏻”

How and why I can make an impact

The bottle of plastic needs to be:

👉🏻 Produced, with energy and water, generating emission and waste

&

👉🏻 Transported, to reach your supermarket (and then your home), again generating emission

Did you know that to produce a plastic bottle are used in average

  • the amount of energy needed to recharge up to 70 times your phone (>1kwh) 😱

  • more than 3 litres of water 😳

Plus, once the bottle is used, the plastic becomes waste and, if not recycled, it will be disposed in a landfill and stay there for up to 500 years.

Remember::

👉🏻 Whenever you drink bottled water make sure it is recycled

👉🏻 Before recycling make it easy and cool: consider reusable containers 😉

Why I save money?

On average a bottle of water of 1,5 litres may cost you between 0,5 and 1 💶 , this adds up at least 550 💶 a year per person.

Did you know that drinking tap water also help you protect your body??

Finally, remember that this allows you to make an impact also to your health.

👉🏻 The chemical used to make the plastic (Bisphenol A or BPA) has been proven to be hazardous to human health and strongly linked to several health problems including certain types of cancer, neurological difficulties and reduced fertility in women, just to name a few.

BPA enters the human body through exposure to plastics such as bottled drinks. To avoid that simply drink tap water.

Anything else I can do?

Of course yes, but we want to make it simple. For now just start with this, you can already do a great impact, to yourself and the planet.

We will provide more insights soon..stay tuned 🙌

In case you wish to increase your impact, applying the same logic, just avoid using plastic containers or objects...if possible, consider a reusable container, and, if you really need it, make sure it is always recycled!!!🤩

How calculation are made: Production: Consumption for a bottle of 1,5 litres. Data source study from University of Salento published on 27 September 2020, verified with available sources on line from EU and US environmental Agency. Saving: Considering a person drinks around 2 litres a day. Cost is based on average EU municipality prices, where drinking tap water cost per person between 40 and 50 💶 a year. Additional water management cost from the municipality are excluded since you would pay them anyway for the other services you already use, do you agree?
