Why clean water is important?
Clean water is the most important natural resources on earth.
As we all know, humans need water to survive: a person may live up to a month without food, but would perish in a few days without adequate intake of water. In addition, all animals and plants require water to survive. As well, some need it as shelter and breeding grounds or also for bathing and removing parasites.
Although almost 71% of the Earth’s surface is covered in water, only much less than 1% of the water on the planet is drinkable and usable. This small amount of freshwater has to be shared among 7 billion inhabitants.
Due to geographic conditions and lack of water treatment capacity, many regions of the world already suffer from the shortage of clean water.
Everyday 780 million people lack basic drinking water access, 1 every 10 people.
Climate change and population increase are and will exert high pressures on freshwater resources more and more.
Anything else I can do?
Of course yes, but we want to make it simple for you. For now just start with this, you can already do a great impact, to yourself and the planet.
We will provide more insights soon..stay tuned 🙌
In case you wish to increase your impact, applying the same logic, close the facet any time it is possible, such as when you wash or rinse dishes or under the shower.
Did you know that saving water also help you save money?
Finally, remember that this allows you to make an impact also to your wallet. Even if the price of water vary in every country, as well as by city, you want to make sure not to flush your money out. 😊
